Grace Gillespie1

F, #11
CAUTION* Gilbert Davis and Grace Gillespie have the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION: Having a very difficult time finding out more about this couple. Their daughter Grace is living with her uncle, Simon Gillespie in 1880 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GYBH-KT4
With the idea that Simon may be key to finding out more about Grace, I've found that Simon Gillespy married Sarah Catharine Brodhead 20 Dec 1854 in Rochester, Ulster Co., NY at the First Dutch Reformed Church https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F63W-SZD
Their tombstone: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/204638442
Unverified research indicates his parents are David M Gillespie and Maria Dubois
     Simon & Sarah in 1855: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K6Q4-375
Other research indicates relatives with the Shoomaker name, both names plus 2 year old daughter Grace on on the same page in 1870 - needs further research to fit this all together. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8KB-8LW. Simon and Sarah are on the previous page: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8KB-8LW
Gilbert is NOT the same as Gilbert Davis widely known by the title facetiously bestowed upon him of Governor of Coney Island. That man was b.1786 and d.1868.
