Will* 5 April 1856 The will of Daniel was recorded March 7, 1859 showing his name ad Daniel Nivins and stated that he had heretofore advanced to his children Narcis Jones, wife of William A. Jones; James Nivins, Ellen Robertson, wife of Exekiel Robertson; William Nivins; and Mary Ann Goolsby, wife of James Goolsey a certain portion of his property. He directed that the remaining property, real and personal, be sold at auction by his executor, his son William Nivins. He provided a share of his estate be used for the support, maintenance and education of his Grandsons, John D. Jones and James R. Jones sons of his daughter Narcissa Jones. He left two shares of his estate to his sons, James and William and he left instructions to his executor to use the interest form designated shares of his estate for the separate use, benefit and support of each of his daughters, independent of and without the control of their husbands.1
