| Source* | | Source(s): "Johann Kemper, Kirchmeister or superintendent of church property, of Musen, was born in 1598 and was christened the third (3rd) Sunday after Ephiphany; he died in Musen in 1670 and was buried Decenber 6, 1670. He was the son of Friedrich (Schmith) Kemper and his first wife, Margaretha Brumbach. Johann married at Hilchenbach on July 13, 1620, to Margarete Bracht, daughter of Adam Bracht, deceased. She died at Musen on September 18, 1670. It is uncertain whether Johann and Margarete Kemper had any other children, but they were the parents of 'Johannes Kemper, the smith,' the grandfather of the 1714 emigrant."1 |
