| Source* | | Source(s): "Tilman Schmith of Ernsdorf, Germany, born probably about 1530, died at Ernsdorf in 1584 and was buried there March 30, 1584. The name Kemper first appeared definitely in the family with Tilman's son, Friedrich Schmith (or Kemper) of Musen. In the special tax record of 1563, Tilman Schmith and his wife, Elsa, are shown at Ernsdorf with a family of six (6) children, indicating that they were married around 1550. Elsa might have been a Limper. Four (4) of Tilman's children married between 1592-1601."1 |
