This seems to be the trail from Kentucky to Indiana and part of the family to Missouri (Lawsons)
This is great but it surely presents another problem – matching these events to the birth records we have of the issue.......
I found these and will be sending for the applicable originals soon....... LAND PATENTS

Edward Lawson      3-10-1823 Edward Lawson from *Scott Co., KY     (James Monroe)          80 acres Rush Co., IN.
Gabriel Springer          3-10-1823 Gabriel Springer from *Scott Co., KY     (James Monroe)          160 acres Rush Co., IN
Ditto Amos               5-15-1823 Ditto Amos from *Bourbon Co., KY     (James Monroe)          80 acres Rush Co., IN
5-15-1823 Ditto Amos from *Bourbon Co., KY          63.76 acres Rush Co., IN
Richard Lawson     10-5-1826 Richard Lawson from Rush Co., IN     (John QuincyAdams)     160 acres Rush Co., IN
Richard Lawson     1 -6-1831 Richard Lawson from Rush Co., IN     (Andrew Jackson)          80 acres Rush Co., IN
Gabriel Springer          10-15-35 Gabriel Lawson of Rush Co., IN     (Andrew Jackson)          80 acres Boone Co., IN
Richard Lawson     1 -1-1850 Richard Lawson of Madison Co., IN     (Zachary Taylor)          80 acres Madison Co., IN
Edward Lawson     10-1-1852 Edward Lawson of *Rush Co., IN     (Millard Fillmore)          40 acres Madison Co., IN
Richard Lawson     10-1-1852 Richard Lawson of Madison Co., IN     (Millard Fillmore)          80 acres Madison Co., IN

(This is pretty good evidence that the Scott County Lawsons are ours......Edward from Scott Co., KY to Rush Co., IN to Madison Co., IN.....) Richard Jr. and Sr. had already gone to Missouri by the 1850 and 1852 Patents. At least this line is worth pursuing farther.

No Richard Lawson's involved in land in Bourbon Co.
