Burial* John Strange Norton was buried at Rookwood Cemetry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. 
Note* He Per Claydon Thesis:
Left the family home at about the age of 22.
Death certificate states that he was 72 yrs. old and never married.
Two year tour to England and China around 1858.
Worked as a drover in his earlier years and from about 1859 to 1862 as a storekeeper at a sheep station in Oueensland. After that he became a customs officer at Mungindi in NSW and was appointed Officer in Charge of Customs in 1874 in which position he remained until 1890.
Will dated 10 May 1907. Estated divided between his brother Alfred, and sisters Dorothy, Mary, and Susannah Norton.
