| Note* | John C. Stoneking Added per father, Andrew Stoneking's, 1928 will. He was bequeathed 1/3 of of estate after $400 in other disbursements. Listed as surviving sibling, living in Macomb, in Ernest Clyde Stoneking's 1945 obituary. Obituary notes: He resided in McDonough County his whole life. He was a retired farmer, merchant and insurance broker. He was a member of the county board of supervisors for 60 years, a precinct committeeman and was a charter member of the Rocking Chair Club. He married Gertrude Zimkoskie who died in 1910, then married Clara May Cary who died 9 Jan 1924, and later married Ressie Salisbury Pershing who died in 1972. Surviving are eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four step children: Mrs. Mary Brown of Tempe Florida, Mrs. Cora Ellen Watkins of Alcahoun, CA, Monroe Pershing of Mesa Arizona, and Harry Pershing of Macomb, IL, 15 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, 3 sons (listed in family group) one step son Cecil Cary. Photo Caption "In Memory of: John C. Stoneking...Who passed away April 20, 1978.
