| Note* | Louisa J. Stoneking Alice Stoneking Derry said that she was raised by her great-Aunt Louise Willey. Alice said that she was born during the Civil War... Alice said she had no children and left their house to her. I found Alice in the 1920 census in the Willey family, w/Morris b. 1864 & Louise b 1865. Confirmed per Richard Jackson's family group sheet. 24 Feb 1944 obituary confirms birth and death dates and locations, states that she had been ill since 1 Jan, and that she had no children of her own. It also confirms that she was living with Alice Derry when she died, and that she had raised Alice. It states that she had been in the Salvation Army for 52 years and had been a SA officer in Texas, Missouri, and Illinois. She moved to Macomb in 1929. (1920 Census confirms Salvation Army affiliation.). | |
