Story* Further info on Isham Edwards from "Yellow Spring and Huron, A Local History" by J.Merrill 1897 Mediapolis IA, pgs 30, & 31.

"There came with Mr Clark his father-in-law, Isham Edwards, a Campbellite
preacher, with his three sons, Josiah, Talbott and John. These all settled
near by, but soon moved away to the Platte Purchase. John Edwards' wife
died and two sons were left to the care of Mr and Mrs Clark. These were
Jake and Jack Edwards, who were well known here a few years ago, but are now in the west. Josiah Edwards married Pamelia Westfall in the spring of 1836. This was the first wedding in Yellow Spring township".

Census1860*1860 He appeared on the 1860 census as the head of household, Greene Co., Illinois pg 672 3521-521 Edwards, Isom 59 b.VA farmer $7000 $2500.1 
Marriage*1862 He married Elizabeth Thomas, daughter of Joseph Thomas, in 1862 in fall. 
Census1870*1870 Isham Edwards appeared on the 1870 census as the head of household, Town 12 Range 12 (Breese PO), Greene Co., Illinois pg 241b #66-68 Edwards, Isham 69 b.VA farmer $4000 $500. Also in home with no relation stated are Sarah Jones 3 b.IL and James Garret 19 b.IL farm laborer.2 
Death*6 February 1880 He died on 6 February 1880 at White Hall Twnshp, Greene Co., Illinois, at age 79 Cemeteries of Green Co IL, White Hall Twnship (Evd 321) gives death date, but he's not in the death index which covers bk 1 of 1877-1902 (SLC 1310039 #4). 
Burial* He was buried at Old Patterson Cemetery, White Hall Twnshp, Greene Co., Illinois. 
Probate His estate was probated at Greene Co., Illinois; Not in probate index (SLC 1306488 #3).
