     The "cover" page says that his death was 27 Feb 1888. This has to suffice as his proof of death. The probate was filed 8 Mar 1888, and a notice was sent to the Gazette. Per the statement of heirs listing, they are all from Mediapolis, Des Moines, Iowa. They are: Catharine Clark, wife, age 77; L F Clark, son, age 52; Margaret Messenger, daughter, age 50; W G Clark, son, age 48; Edgar L Smith, grandson, age 21; Nettie M Smith, granddaughter, age 17; Pearl Smith, granddaughter, age 12; Mary Ann Smith, granddaughter, age 9. Four pieces of land are mentioned, totaling 255 acres.
     In his will he says "I, B.W.Clark of Yellow Springs Township...". Mentions by name his wife Catharine, and the names mentioned above. In mentioning the grandchildren, he says "children of my daughter, Mary Ann Smith, deceased". Appoints sons L.F. and W.G.Clark as executors. And requests Wm Harper and S.B.Heizer to witness it.
