Marriage*25 March 1824 Jeretta Wilson married Guy William Smith ("General"), son of William Smith (twin) and Mary Spencer Speed, on 25 March 1824 at Crawford Co., Illinois, "Guy W. Smith to Juretta Wilson. Date of issue: Mar 1824, When Married: March 1824: By whom married: James A Cord. Date of return: blank"
Roger Smith's website gives more information citing marr bk A but I copied the page cited and there is no more information. I wonder where his additional info came from? (answer 1812 pension):

"Jerretta Wilson, a sister of Nancy Shepherd, was born in Virginia, Hardy County, in 1801 and was married to Guy Smith in Palestine in the year 1826, and died near Burlington about the year 1860. Guy W. Smith came from Kentucky where he is very respectfully connected. His mother was of the Speed family. We do not know of his residence at this time."2,3,4

Death*6 October 1856 Jeretta Wilson died on 6 October 1856 at Mediapolis, Des Moines Co., Iowa, at age 49 death records didn't start til 1880, and she's not in probate records for DesMoines where she is assumed to have died. Date/Place from DAR.
