Birth* | | Eliza Brown was born Guy Allen's material indicates that Eliza Browne may have been the daughter of the Hon. Thomas C. Browne, a lawyer from Shawneetown in Gallatin Co, IL. He served as the representative from Gallatin Co, in the Illinois Territorial Legislature 1814-1816 and 1816-1818. He was a Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court from 9 Oct 1818 to 4 Dec 1848. He presided over a murder trial in the Crawford Co, IL, court in Palestine, IL in a session held 7 Jul 1819.
