The first known reference to Thomas Stone is in Calvert Co MD in 1764 when he was named executor of his father's estate. Thomas Stone and Sally his wife were witnesses to the will of Samuel Austin, probated 20 Jan 1765. In 1774 All Saints Episcopal Church, Sunderland MD was started and pews were actioned off. Elizabeth Austin, William Marshall, and Thomas Stone bought pew number 3 and paid 8 dollars a year. There was a Thomas Stone who was a member of the Calvert Co Militia in 1776 from July to Dec. It is possible this was the same Thomas Stone being son of John Stone. Other military service is attributed to Thomas Stone and I am not sure of its accuracy. This research was done by others and I have not tried to verify it.
