Misc* He was per pension unselected files, he had brothers Benjamin and Joshua, sons of William Amos Jr, and a son Lewis in addition to a son William. Another person said the widow was Katherine D b.1754 d.1853. 
Census1790*1790 He was the head of the household in the 1790 census, Harford Co., Maryland, with "Mordecai Amos of M." 1m16+ 2m0-16 1f. 
Census1820*1820 He was the head of the household in the 1820 census, Election Dist 4, Harford Co., Maryland, with "Mordecai Amos of _." Looks like Jr 1m0-10 1m16-26 1m45+ 2f0-10 1f10-16 2f26-45 Slaves 2m0-14 2m45+ 1f0-14. 
Military*7 June 1832 He was in the military on 7 June 1832 at Harford Co., Maryland, applied for pension (S2034.) 
MovedTo*1835 He moved to Harrison Co., Ohio, in 1835 per pension, he moved in order to be with some of his children were living there, names of children not stated.

Census1840*1840 He was the head of the household in the 1840 census, Harrison Co., Ohio, with Mordicia (sic) Amos 1m 90-100 (sic, he's only 87). 
Death*before 18 August 1842 He died before 18 August 1842 per pension - survived by widown not named. 20 Aug 1842 "in reply to the inquiry in the case of the widow of Mordecai Amos decd"
In 1853 there was letter from William Amos, the only surviving son and the legal heir.
