Source* Source(s): Hermann Ohrendorf (born at Bockseifen near Freudenberg) lived at Halmenhof. He married Margaretha _____ (born in 1635?) at Freudenberg in about 1658. Mannus Ohrendorf of Halmenhof appeared as a witness in court during the years 1661, 1662, 1665, 1670, and 1672. On September 2, 1666 a certain married couple, Johannes Sohler (and wife) in Siegen, sold a meadow in Halmenhof to the married couple, Mannus Ohrendorf (and his wife). Also, on March 30, 1670, Mannus and his wife were given credit of 60 Gulden by Johannes Sohler and his wife. Hermann died at Halmenhof and was buried at Freudenberg on January 3, 1676. Margaretha also died at Halmenhof and was buried at Freudenberg on January 6, 1676 three days after her husband's burial.1
