Note* Margaret Sale Family tradition and History of 1908 Fulton Co article says related to George Washington. She's also sister to Lavina Sale, husband's brother Wm's wife. 
CAUTION* Margaret Sale and Margaret Reeves have the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION: "George Washington's Mother's name was Mary Sale. Her sister, Bell, married a Reeves and had a son Major Reeves. He was the father of Margaret Reeves who married John Orendorff 1st." "Grandmother was a sister of George Washington's Mother.
     However, George Washington's mother's name was actually Mary Ball, not Sale.2

(Witness) Census18101810 She is assumed to be one of the household of James Sale in the 1810 census, Wilkes Co., North Carolina, who has 2m0-10 (James & Thomas) 1m10-16 (Joshua) 1m26-45 (James) 2f0-10 (Elizabeth & Nancy) 2f10-16 (Lavina & Margaret) 1f26-45 (Margaret) 1 slave. 
Residence*1818 Margaret Sale lived in 1818: Obit says she moved to IL in 1818. 
Marriage*14 November 1820 She married John Sylvester Orendorff, son of Christopher Orendorff and Elizabeth Phillips, on 14 November 1820 at Carlyle, Washington Co. (Clinton Co.), Illinois, per Hist of Fulton Co "In 1818 at about 22, he came to IL and two years later (14 Nov 1820), in Washington Co IL, married Margaret Sayle, who was a native of Wilkes county NY and a relative of General George Washington."

     Not sure of the source for it being in Carlyle.
     Washington Co became Clinton Co in 1824, was Washington Co at that time.

Death*19 July 1867 She died on 19 July 1867 at Orion Twnshp, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 65 Death date & place from History of Fulton Co pg 845 but 1903 History of Fulton Co pg 1023 says she died the 16th, not 19th.

Obituary2 August 1867 Her obituary was on 2 August 1867 at Fulton Co., Illinois,           Died Fulton co., July 28, 1867
     Mrs Mary Orendorff, wife of Mr John Orendorff, of this county, died July 19th after a painful illness of over six months. She was born in Wilkes county, N. C., October 21, 1801; came to Illinois in 1818; married in 1820; united with the M. E. Church at a camp meeting held in Canton, by Rev. Peter Cartwright, in 1832; was a faithful and devoted member of the church, a kind an cheerful neighbor. In all her relations in life she exhibited the true christian character. She leaves a family of six children, most of whom are settled in life. Her greatest concern during her illness seemed to be for the happiness and welfare of her children. Rev. R. Hancy preached her funeral sermon to a large concourse of mourning friends and neighbors, on Sabbath, July 21, when her remains were taken to their final resting place in the home cemetery, four miles east of Canton, her to her home, where she lived for forty years. She died a hopeful, cheerful death, and leaves a strong testimony to her children and neighbors in favor of the christian faith and a holy life. May her God and Friend be with her living loved ones till the glorius reunion after the storms of life are over. J. H. RHEA.4
