Note Will dated 7 Nov 1744 Mary Lamp emails: '....have pretty good research to Capt. Samuel b. ca 1730 Wilson and William Wilson b. ca 1722. Morton's 'History of Highland County Virginia' says these two were sons of Col. John Wilson who served in the House of Burgesses. These is also a mention of this fact in Thwaites 'History of Dunsmore's War 1774.' The record of Capt. Samuel death is recorded in this book'

He emigrated to Lancaster Co., PA about 1733 & had warrants to land Sept 10, 1736 & Dec 6, 1738. He removed to Cumberland Co., PA which was organized Jan 27, 1750 & died there aged 88 years where his oldest son, Isaac, administered on his estate.

Hugh Thomson had been on April 18, 1689 sworn & admitted as an inhabitant of Letterkenny & on Sept 11, 1690 leased an acre of land for 21 years. He was a blacksmith, 'a big strong man' & a public spirited citizen. He died intestate.
