New York, age 4 in 1850, age 14 in 1860, age 23 in 1870, 33 in 1880 are all consistant, so she was born circa 1846. However, the 1900 census says Dec 1851 age 48 and her tombstone says 28 Dec 1850. It's obvious that in her later years she either lied about her age, or forgot. |
