John Campbell (of Shanktown) has the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION: Ancestral file shows him married 22 Jun 1699 in Loudoun, Ayrshire, Scotland to a Janet Morton, daughter of James Morton and Marion Braun. This is extremely unlikely as would would have been so shown in Burke's Peerage and known by the family representatives. 
Death*30 November 1709 He died on 30 November 1709 at Scotland; d.s.p. (died without issue) per Burke's Peerage.1,2

John Campbell (of Shanktown) have the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION: There is proof that Rev John Campbell who died 25 May 1761 is not the same person as Capt./Major/Col.
