BIBLIOGRAPHIC NOTE: The definitive account of this family was prepared in1942 by George Andrews Moriarty [TAG 18:206-09], who says of Palgravethat '[h]e was a quiet man, who minded his own business, got into notrouble, and buried himself in his profession' [TAG 18:208]. Moriartydiscusses possible connections of this immigrant to the Palgrave familyof county Norfolk, England. The most likely solution is that RichardPalgrave resided in the parishes of Wymondham and Barnham Broom inNorfolk before his migration, but the evidence for this identificationremains insufficient.
