| Biography* | | Henry James Snook was biography Per Mervyn "Reg" Reeves [mailto:reg@reeves500.freeserve.co.uk] Henry was the 4th child of Henry Snook and Elizabeth nee Curtis. After some years in New Zealand he ended up at Weimar, California as a fruit grower. He married twice. His first wife was Carrie Bostwick who died at Weimar in 1896, and his second wife was Martha Boop who died in 1907. Henry had 2 sons by his first wife, Percy who in 1924 was an expert in oil drilling in Texas married with 2 children, and Cyril who in 1924 was on the home ranch. Henry also had 2 sons by his second wife, Franklin who in 1938 lived in Michigan, and George who in 1938 had a home and fruit ranch adjoining the home ranch. Henry died March 26th.1938. I believe Percy died at Santa Anna, Coleman, Texas in 1970. (Ann Snook found him in the 1920 census), Cyril died in July 1969 at Weimar, and George died October 1966.I think I found the deaths in the vital records website, so I can't guarantee I've go the correct ones). I don't know anything about Franklin. So the brothers that Mr Quinn remembers at Weimar will be Cyril and George who were actually half brothers. |
