He was the husband of Selma (Kuber) Golden. Mr. and Mrs. Golden would have been married for 60 years on May 26th. Born in Providence, a son of the late Benjamin and Irene (Dworkis) Golden, he lived in Cranston for 30 years. Mr. Golden was employed by Grinnell Mfg. Co. in Providence for more than 20 years before he retired 16 years ago. He was a member of the Cranston Senior Guild, the former Majestic Senior Guild, and the former Congregation Sons of Abraham Synagogue. He had been a professional boxer early in his life. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Barbara Pfnausch of Old Saybrook, Conn., and Iris Gesualdi of East Greenwich; five brothers, Harvey and Irving Golden, both in California, Seymour Golden of New Bedford, Shelton Golden of Narragansett and Paul Golden of Cranston; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. |
